You Bring
Sun Protection: Texas is hot Y’all! And sometimes it’s really cold, but you can still get sunburned all year. If you are fishing in the summer we recommend you wear a hat, a sun Buff for your face, Buff sun gloves, close toes shoes that you do not mind getting wet, and long sleeved shirts and pants. If you are fishing in the winter, you may want to wear all of the above plus 2 extra layers to peel off as the day gets warmer, because it will! You may need boots and waders if you fish the Guadalupe River, but we have a pair for you if you need them. In the Spring and Summer, when temperatures are more temperate here in Texas, you can most likely get away with wearing short sleeves and just your flip flops. Make sure to ask your guide if you are not sure about what to wear!
Sunglasses: Polarized sunglasses are best so you can see the fish in the water while you are fishing, but any pair of glasses will do to protect you eyes from the hooks flying around. Your guide will make sure you have your sunglasses before you start fishing. But, if you forget yours, don’e worry! Your guide will most likely have an extra pair on board.
Your Fishing Licenses: Everyone 17 and older fishing on public water in the state of Texas is required to have a fishing license. You can buy your fishing license online at TPWD, or buy it at any Walmart of Academy in the state of Texas.
